The TFI (Therapeutic Function Index) is our unique classification system that categorizes each butter blend based on its primary therapeutic benefits. With TFI we try to provide clear, science-backed guidance for choosing the right product for your specific needs. As we were developing our Nku formulas, we realised that we did not want to name specific areas where it can be used (like Nku Body or Nku Face). It felt limiting to the product, since it can be applied on the face, body, hands, feet and even hair! So we decided to categorize by their function.

Each TFI category represents a distinct therapeutic function: HYDRA for deep moisturization, BARRIER for protection and repair, RESTORE for anti-aging and regeneration, PROTECT for environmental defense, PURIFY for clarifying and balancing, CALM for sensitive skin care, FIRM for toning and elasticity, and HEAL for intensive repair. Based on TFI and your experiences, we continue innovating our formulas.

The plus symbols (+, ++, +++) indicate the concentration and potency of active therapeutic compounds in each formulation.

Therapeutic Threshold Contains 40-60% of primary therapeutic fatty acids or bioactive compounds. Provides basic therapeutic benefits for maintenance and prevention.

Enhanced Therapeutic Contains 60-80% of primary therapeutic compounds. Delivers stronger therapeutic effects for active treatment of skin concerns.

Maximum Therapeutic Contains 80%+ of primary therapeutic compounds or multiple synergistic bioactives. Provides intensive treatment for severe or chronic skin conditions.
